Role Overview: IGCSE/IBDP Mathematics Teacher
As an IGCSE/IBDP Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics instruction to students across secondary levels. You will guide learners through foundational and advanced concepts in algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus. The role demands a commitment to academic rigor, differentiated instruction, and student well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver mathematics lessons aligned with IGCSE and IBDP frameworks
- Use a variety of assessment tools to evaluate and support student learning
- Foster a classroom culture of inquiry, collaboration, and growth mindset
- Differentiate instruction for students with varying levels of mathematical proficiency
- Integrate digital technologies to enrich teaching and learning experiences
- Participate in curriculum planning, interdisciplinary units, and school-wide events
- Communicate regularly with parents and maintain accurate student records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in secondary mathematics
- Familiarity with international curricula, especially IGCSE and IB Diploma
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
