Role Overview: IGCSE ICT Teacher
As an IGCSE ICT Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons in Information and Communication Technology. You will prepare students to develop essential digital skills, understand computer systems, and become confident users of technology across various applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach ICT in line with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus
- Design and deliver creative, interactive lessons that build technical proficiency
- Guide students in project-based learning and digital literacy development
- Prepare learners for internal and external assessments
- Use educational technology to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum integration and school-wide tech initiatives
- Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, responsibility, and collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of ICT teaching experience, preferably in an international setting
- Strong command of the Cambridge ICT curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficient in the use of educational software and digital tools
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Committed to continuous professional development and school community involvement
