Role Overview: IGCSE Mathematics Teacher
As an IGCSE Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics curriculum. Your role will involve helping students develop analytical thinking, problem-solving strategies, and a strong foundation in mathematical concepts. You will contribute to a collaborative teaching environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics instruction for Key Stage 4 students
- Prepare students effectively for IGCSE Mathematics examinations
- Track and assess student performance regularly, offering constructive feedback
- Support differentiated learning to meet the needs of all students
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and departmental initiatives
- Participate in school life through involvement in clubs, events, or enrichment activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related subject
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level
- Strong familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE or other international curricula
- Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
