Role Overview

The IGCSE Social Studies Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that explore history, geography, culture, politics, and global issues. The role involves preparing students for IGCSE examinations while encouraging critical thinking, research skills, and cross-cultural understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Social Studies following the Cambridge IGCSE framework
• Inspire students to think critically about historical, social, and cultural contexts
• Prepare learners for both formative and summative assessments
• Use creative teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum and interdisciplinary projects
• Support students’ academic progress and personal development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least three years of teaching experience, preferably in IGCSE or international schools
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of proficiency in written and spoken English
