Role Overview: IGCSE Teacher
As an IGCSE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the rigorous IGCSE curriculum. You will create a supportive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and independent learning. Your role includes designing assessments, tracking student progress, and providing personalized feedback. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and the school community to ensure students achieve their academic potential and develop confidence in their abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement lessons that meet the IGCSE curriculum standards
- Maintain strong classroom management to foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Monitor student progress through assessments and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with fellow educators to develop and improve curriculum and teaching practices
- Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to support student development
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance learning outcomes
- Engage actively in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant subject or education field
- Valid teaching license or certification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent international credential
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level or in a similar role
- Strong subject knowledge in the relevant discipline for the IGCSE curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Native-level fluency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, independent, and proactive in contributing to curriculum enrichment and school programs
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues in a diverse international community
