Role Overview: International Secondary PE Teacher
The International Secondary PE Teacher will lead engaging, high-impact physical education lessons that inspire students to embrace health, fitness, and teamwork. The role includes teaching students in lower and upper secondary grades, promoting lifelong wellness habits and a passion for physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver PE lessons aligned with international curriculum standards
- Foster student growth in physical literacy, sportsmanship, and fitness goals
- Lead extracurricular sports programs, interschool competitions, and school-wide events
- Integrate character-building and well-being into physical education instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support interdisciplinary learning
- Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and participation
- Utilize educational technologies to enhance PE instruction and track student development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related discipline
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of PE teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school
- Strong understanding of international curricula such as IGCSE or IB
- Effective classroom management and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate students of all fitness levels
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for student-centered learning
