Amman Academy began operating in July 2008, originally under the name Sekolah Buin Batu. The school serves the dependents of employees and contractors working at the Batu Hijau copper and gold mine, operated by PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara. As an international school located in Sumbawa, Indonesia, Amman Academy offers a unique educational experience tailored to a global student population.
We are a Partnership School (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama/SPK) and implement globally respected programs, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Our mission is to provide high-quality international education with a strong emphasis on inquiry, inclusivity, and intercultural understanding.
Role Overview
As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing curiosity, creativity, and foundational academic skills in young learners. You will design and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences that align with international best practices for early childhood education. Your ability to foster a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment will directly impact student success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (QTS, PGCE, etc.)
- Minimum of two years of classroom experience
- Familiarity with international curricula or early years frameworks
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development
- Initiative and motivation to contribute to school-wide improvement initiatives
- Experience using educational technology to support young learners
