Role Overview
The Kindergarten Teacher will guide students through the early years of their educational journey, ensuring a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, inquiry-based learning, and social development. The role requires creativity, patience, and a deep understanding of early childhood education within an IB PYP framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for early years students
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Foster curiosity, independence, and collaborative learning
- Assess and monitor student progress to support growth
- Integrate technology to enhance early years instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student success
- Contribute to wider school initiatives and extracurricular programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in early childhood or kindergarten
- Strong understanding of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) or similar curricula
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international community
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning
