Role Overview

The Kindergarten Teacher will create a nurturing, engaging, and inquiry-driven classroom that fosters the development of essential early years skills. This role involves guiding students through play-based learning, language development, social-emotional growth, and the foundations of literacy and numeracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
• Support the holistic development of young learners, including social, emotional, and academic growth
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including English Language Learners
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular connections and enrich the curriculum
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to build strong school-home partnerships
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, school events, and community initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting
• Familiarity with IB PYP and international curricula
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, multicultural school community
