Role Overview: Kindergarten Teacher (Native English Speaker)
As a Kindergarten Teacher at SSIS, you will develop and deliver creative, age-appropriate lessons that support children’s early academic and social development. You will create a safe and stimulating learning environment where children can explore, play, and grow. This role involves active collaboration with teaching colleagues, regular communication with parents, and the ability to tailor instruction to meet each child’s developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging early childhood learning activities aligned with international standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
- Monitor student progress and document developmental milestones
- Communicate clearly and regularly with parents regarding student growth and classroom events
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enrich the early years curriculum
- Integrate technology to enhance student learning and classroom engagement
- Participate in school-wide events and contribute to the overall success of the early childhood program
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or international equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in early years or kindergarten education
- Native-level proficiency in English
- Strong knowledge of child development and play-based learning approaches
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated teaching style
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents in a multicultural school community
