Role: KS1 Class Teacher/Year Group Leader

As a KS1 Class Teacher/Year Group Leader, you will have the responsibility of delivering the curriculum for your assigned Year Group while ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Your key duties will include:

• Teaching and delivering planned work from the DESS curriculum framework.
• Efficiently implementing the English National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Collaborating in medium and short-term planning with colleagues.
• Taking responsibility for the pastoral welfare of students in your class.
• Maintaining appropriate records of pupil performance, marking work, and setting homework.
• Monitoring individual progress, setting targets, and writing reports.
• Regularly engaging in parent consultations and communicating with parents about student progress.
• Contributing to extracurricular activities and school events.
• Participating in in-service training courses and professional development opportunities.
• Undertaking duties such as registration, playground, and gate duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Good Honours degree in a relevant subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven teaching experience, ideally within the KS1 phase.
• A passion for creating an inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
• A commitment to professional development and collaborative teamwork.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with parents, colleagues, and students.
