Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of KS2 Primary Teacher. This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, high-standard instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, rigorous Primary units aligned strictly with the English National Curriculum (ENC) for Key Stage 2.
• Develop and execute engaging, standards-based lessons that promote advanced literacy, mathematical problem-solving, and scientific investigation.
• Assess student progress consistently using formative, summative, and observation tools relevant to the age group and ENC standards. Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate consistently with colleagues on curriculum mapping, resource development, and ensuring continuity across the Primary phase.
• Maintain a positive, highly organized, and professional classroom environment conducive to active learning, risk-taking, and intellectual exploration.
• Be independent, self-motivated, and proactive in enriching the curriculum and developing wider school initiatives.
• Ability to use new technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents, and to build strong relationships with the school community.

Qualification

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Primary Education or a related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for Primary teaching.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6), with significant, verified experience teaching the English National Curriculum (ENC) in a British or international school setting being mandatory.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of Key Stage 2 pedagogy and ENC standards.
• Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication and collaboration skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
