Role Overview: KS3 Computer Science Teacher
As the KS3 Computer Science Teacher, you will lead engaging and practical lessons that help students build strong foundations in coding, digital literacy, and computational thinking. Your role includes fostering curiosity about emerging technologies while preparing students for IGCSE-level studies in ICT and Computer Science.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the British curriculum for Key Stage 3
- Plan lessons that emphasize hands-on learning, problem-solving, and digital creativity
- Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with teaching teams on cross-disciplinary projects and assessments
- Participate in school initiatives, clubs, and extracurricular technology-related activities
- Contribute to curriculum development and the school’s digital learning strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related discipline
- Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with international or British curriculum frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and technology integration skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Commitment to personal development and fostering innovation in education
