Role Overview: KS3 English Teacher
The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature to Key Stage 3 students, inspire a love of reading and writing, and support the development of literacy skills through a dynamic and engaging curriculum. You will collaborate with other faculty to foster critical thinking and effective communication in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 students
- Plan and assess according to curriculum standards
- Promote independent reading, creative writing, and critical analysis
- Integrate educational technologies into classroom instruction
- Support students’ academic and personal development
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
- Participate actively in school events and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience at the secondary level
- Familiarity with British or international curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High level of fluency in spoken and written English
