Role Overview
As the KS4 English Teacher, you will teach students in Key Stage 4, helping them build advanced reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. You will prepare students for IGCSE examinations, collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging learning materials, and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at KS4 or similar level
- In-depth knowledge of the British Curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development
- Confidence using educational technology to enhance student learning
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching
