Role Overview: KS5 English Teacher
We are looking for an experienced English educator to teach students in Key Stage 5, preparing them for A-Level examinations. You will design engaging lessons, challenge students to think critically, and help them develop advanced reading and writing skills. This role also involves collaborating with colleagues, participating in school events, and contributing to the academic and cultural life of the school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related subject
- Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the KS5 or senior secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the British Curriculum and A-Level standards
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction
- Passion for education and a proactive, student-centered approach
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to continuous professional development
