Role Overview: Language Arts/Social Science Teacher (Middle and High School)
As a Language Arts and Social Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American and IB curricula. You will design and implement effective instruction in English language arts, literature, history, geography, and social studies. Your role will include fostering students’ analytical and communication skills, promoting cultural understanding, and encouraging independent thought.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Language Arts, Social Science, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience in middle or high school
- Strong expertise in Language Arts and Social Science subjects
- Effective classroom management and excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse international school setting
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Ability to use educational technology to enhance student learning
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to contribute to curriculum development and school initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
