This school is based in Molo, Kenya and is looking for a Teaching Mentor.

St Andrew’s Prep School in Kenya is seeking an experienced and inspirational Teaching Mentor to join our educational team. The Teaching Mentor will be responsible for providing guidance, support, and professional development to our teaching staff, helping to enhance teaching practices and improve student outcomes. This role is crucial in fostering a collaborative and high-performing educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to teachers, helping them to develop their instructional skills and strategies.
  • Observe classroom teaching and provide constructive feedback aimed at improving teaching practices.
  • Develop and deliver professional development workshops and training sessions for teachers.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum improvements and innovations.
  • Support teachers in the use of assessment data to inform instruction and improve student learning.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative professional learning community among staff.
  • Assist in the induction and orientation of new teachers.
  • Stay current with educational research and best practices to share with teaching staff.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and projects aimed at improving overall educational quality.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a leadership or mentoring role.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and instructional skills.
  • Strong knowledge of current educational best practices and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with teachers and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
