Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our City campus as a Lab Technician and Exam Officer. This role primarily focuses on supporting laboratory activities, ensuring the smooth operation of experiments, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for both staff and students. Additionally, the role encompasses coordinating GCSE examinations, including scheduling, invigilation, and liaising with exam boards to ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Responsibilities:

• Support laboratory activities and assist in the preparation and set-up of experiments.
• Maintain and organize laboratory equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are in good working order.
• Adhere to and enforce safety protocols within the laboratory environment.
• Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies and tracking stock levels.
• Provide technical support to staff and students during practical lessons.

Exam Officer Responsibilities:

• Coordinate GCSE examinations, including scheduling, invigilation, and logistics.
• Liaise with exam boards to ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines.
• Manage and organize exam materials, ensuring their security and integrity.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents regarding exam schedules and procedures.
• Ensure the integrity and fairness of the examination process.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment and maintaining inventory.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols within a laboratory setting.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
