St Christopher's School

This school is based in Isa, Bahrain and is looking for a Learning Support Assistant- Primary School.

To assist in the support and development of primary school students with additional learning needs, ensuring they have the resources and guidance necessary to succeed academically and socially within an inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Student Support:
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to provide individualized support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Support students in understanding and completing classroom tasks and assignments.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.


Classroom Assistance:
  • Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support classroom management and behavior strategies as directed by the teacher.
  • Provide additional assistance during classroom activities, ensuring all students are engaged and participating.


One-on-One and Small Group Support:
  • Provide targeted support to students in one-on-one or small group settings.
  • Facilitate interventions and remedial sessions as required.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging learning atmosphere for students.


  • Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and other support assistants.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and plan interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on student development and support strategies.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting.
  • Training or certification in special education or learning support (preferred but not required).
  • Understanding of child development and learning principles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the varying needs of students.
