This school is based in Dubai, UAE and is looking for an Inclusion Learning Support Assistant – Primary.

Position Overview: Sunmarke School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Learning Support Assistant to join our Primary team. The successful candidate will support the educational and social development of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The Inclusion Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND in the primary school.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions among students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Encourage and support students in developing independence and self-confidence.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, following school policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members.


Qualifications and Experience:
  • A diploma or degree in Special Education, Teaching Assistance, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children with diverse needs.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Training in specific SEND interventions and support strategies.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology.
