Learning Support Teacher / Coach

This school is based in Mumbai, India and is looking for a Learning Support Teacher / Coach

Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning:
● Utilize a repertoire of teaching skills to deliver individualized intervention and extension experiences.
● Analyze and apply differentiated and stimulating learning engagements meeting the needs of learners in support of their instructional outcomes.
● Evaluate and reflect on evidence-based practices and pedagogical tools.
● Promote a learning environment where students can be creative, innovative, and risk-takers.
● Maintain confidentiality with honesty and ethical integrity.
● Stay updated with new research and developments in the field through ongoing professional learning.

Student Support and Differentiation:
● Provide differentiated multi-tiered support for learner support and high-achieving learning differences.
● Develop and implement individual learning support plans and programming based on data, goals, and progress monitoring for students with emotional, social, behavioral, and attention needs.
● Conduct screenings or assessments of referred students.
● Implement interventions and accommodations to match students’ needs.
● Leverage digital tools and explore emerging technologies to deepen learning.

Case Manager:
● Serve as a case manager for students receiving services.
● Liaise with the student support services team to develop positive behavior interventions and multi-tiered support.
● Monitor and report student achievement data associated with multi-tier assessments.
● Maintain up-to-date planning, reports, conferences, and parent communication records.
● Provide written reports to parents and teachers about student programs, participation, and needs.

Collaboration and Communication:
● Coach colleagues in best practices and implementing MTSS strategies.
● Actively participate in team, divisional, and all-staff meetings.
● Use interpersonal and communication skills that promote collegial interaction and collective efficacy.

Student Wellbeing:
● Lead a grade level advisory.
● Chaperone students on one of ASB’s week-long experiential learning trips.
● Oversee students during break, lunch, and other transitions.
● Embrace the diversity of ASB and Mumbai by moving beyond the classroom walls and encouraging students to maximize their impact on the community.
● Encouraged to lead Co-curricular activities before or after school.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program and a teaching certification with a special education credential.
● A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience in a K-12 accredited school.
● Demonstrate a range of skills in supporting student learning.
● Experience with facilitative leadership and peer coaching.
