Role Overview: Lower Secondary English Teacher

As a Lower Secondary English Teacher, you will teach English language and literature to students aged approximately 11–14, using the Cambridge Secondary English curriculum. You will inspire a love for reading, writing, and effective communication while equipping students with the analytical and creative skills they need for future academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English language and literature lessons
• Support students in developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess student progress through written assignments, projects, and exams
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular planning and assessment
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)

• Strong command of the Cambridge Secondary English curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
