Role Overview: Lower Secondary Science Teacher
As a Lower Secondary Science Teacher, you will plan and teach general science to students in lower secondary grades. You will develop lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and adapt instruction to suit various learning needs. You’ll also foster inquiry-based learning through hands-on experiments and real-world applications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging science lessons based on the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum
- Promote critical thinking and scientific inquiry
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to improve outcomes
- Organize and supervise laboratory work and experiments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects
- Support school events and student-led initiatives related to STEM
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with international curricula, especially Cambridge or IB
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Strong proficiency in English
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
- Passion for inclusive, student-centered education
