Australia, as we continue to grow and expand in Zambia, we are seeking an outstanding, dynamic,
and experienced leader to join our team as Head of Primary School.
Position Overview:
The Head of Primary School will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the Primary
School, ensuring a nurturing, challenging, and inclusive environment that inspires both students and
staff to excel. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of the Cambridge
International Curriculum, lead professional development initiatives for the primary teaching team,
and work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to ensure the continued success of the
school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Primary School.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, in alignment
with international standards.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and dynamic learning environment.
• Support the development and well-being of both students and staff.
• Collaborate with other members of the senior leadership team to set and achieve academic
and operational goals.
• Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in teaching
and learning.
• Oversee curriculum planning, assessments, and reporting.
• Manage school resources, including staff, facilities, and budgets.
• Engage with parents and the wider community to ensure strong partnerships in the
educational process.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational regulations and standards.
Requirements:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field). A Master’s degree would
be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in school leadership, ideally in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge International Curriculum, with experience in its
implementation.
• Proven track record of excellent leadership and management skills.
• Passion for developing a student-centered environment and fostering academic excellence.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• International or Zambian candidates are welcome to apply.
