Role Overview: Mathematics Teacher (IB MYP)
As an IB MYP Mathematics Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging, concept-driven lessons that help students develop strong mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills. You will foster inquiry, encourage collaboration, and create a classroom culture that values curiosity and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach mathematics lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework
- Differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs
- Apply formative and summative assessment strategies to guide student progress
- Promote inquiry-based learning and mathematical reasoning
- Collaborate with subject and grade-level teams
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular programs
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching mathematics, preferably within the IB or international curriculum
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
- High level of spoken and written English proficiency
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning
