Role Overview: Mathematics Teacher (Upper Primary & Lower Secondary)
The Mathematics Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction aligned with international curriculum standards. The role involves fostering students’ numerical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to Upper Primary and Lower Secondary students
- Develop lesson plans that promote inquiry, mastery, and real-world application
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including digital tools and interactive activities
- Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations
- Encourage a growth mindset and active participation in mathematical thinking
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning and cross-subject projects
- Participate in school events, workshops, and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, preferably in international schools
- Strong understanding of international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, Singapore Math)
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Effective classroom management and the ability to build student rapport
- Confident with integrating technology into teaching and learning
- Self-motivated, reflective, and enthusiastic about educational innovation
