Role Overview: Mathematics Teacher

As a Mathematics Teacher at King’s Academy, you will:

  • Teach up to five credits per semester, covering courses from Algebra I to AP Calculus, with the potential to teach advanced mathematics topics.
  • Provide engaging and comprehensive lessons designed to enhance students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques.
  • Participate in after-school co-curricular activities, which could include academic clubs, tutoring, or other math-related extracurriculars.
  • Take on supervisory and committee responsibilities, working closely with colleagues to support the school’s broader goals.
  • Serve as a faculty advisor to a group of 8-10 students, providing both academic and personal guidance.
  • If you are a residential faculty member, you may be required to take on evening duty up to twice a week and weekend duty once every five or six weeks.

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • A valid teaching license.
  • Proven experience in teaching high school mathematics, particularly Algebra I through AP Calculus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A passion for making mathematics accessible and engaging for students at all levels.
