Role Overview: Mathematics Teacher
The Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging and effective lessons to secondary students. You will foster numeracy skills, logical thinking, and mathematical reasoning in alignment with the Cambridge curriculum. The successful candidate will motivate students to enjoy mathematics and pursue excellence in their studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach mathematics at the secondary level, aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
- Design lessons that develop problem-solving, analytical, and abstract thinking skills
- Utilize assessments and feedback to guide student progress
- Support students with differing learning needs through differentiated instruction
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate cross-disciplinary learning
- Engage with parents and staff to support student development
- Contribute to school activities and co-curricular programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Recognized teaching credential (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school
- Strong content knowledge and ability to teach IGCSE-level math
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Self-motivated, reflective, and collaborative
- Committed to Christian values and a student-centered teaching philosophy
