About American Gulf School
American Gulf School is a premium American IB World School delivering the American curriculum through the IB framework. Accredited by COGNIA, we provide the American High School Diploma and are the only school in Sharjah working toward a full IB continuum. As an IB World School, we are authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Additionally, we are a candidate for the IB Career-related Programme (CP), aiming to become the first IB World Continuum School in Sharjah.
Job Role: Mathematics Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the IB framework and American curriculum.
- Foster a problem-solving mindset and critical thinking skills in students.
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and instructional methodologies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student learning and growth.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry-based learning.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- At least two years of mathematics teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and the IB framework.
- Passion for fostering a student-centered and engaging learning environment.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
