This school is based in Muscat, Oman and is looking for a Primary Maths Teacher.

Position Overview:
Al Injaz Private School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Primary Maths Teacher to educate and inspire students in Grades 1–5. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics, experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum, and the ability to foster a love for learning. This role involves delivering engaging lessons, promoting critical thinking, and nurturing the academic growth of young learners in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum for Grades 1–5.
• Use diverse teaching methods to address different learning styles and ensure student engagement.
• Foster a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and problem-solving.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
• Provide constructive feedback to support students’ learning and growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and share updates with parents/guardians.

Student Support and Development:

• Identify and address individual learning needs to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
• Encourage a growth mindset and a positive attitude towards mathematics.
• Support students in developing foundational math skills critical for future academic success.

Collaboration and Professional Growth:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the academic program.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
• Stay updated with advancements in primary math education and the Cambridge curriculum.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) are mandatory.

Professional Experience:

• 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably with the Cambridge curriculum at the primary level.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of primary-level mathematics concepts and teaching strategies.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
