Role Overview: Middle School Drama Teacher
The Middle School Drama Teacher will deliver high-quality performing arts instruction that inspires students to explore theatrical performance, develop their confidence, and engage in creative storytelling. The role includes directing student productions, supporting interdisciplinary projects, and fostering a love of drama within a supportive learning community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver drama lessons aligned with international best practices
- Lead school performances, plays, and theatrical showcases
- Develop students’ skills in acting, stagecraft, and creative collaboration
- Assess student growth using formative and summative evaluation methods
- Collaborate with colleagues across subjects to integrate drama into cross-curricular learning
- Participate actively in school events, clubs, and performing arts initiatives
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, or a related discipline
- Valid teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Knowledge of international and bilingual education practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- A commitment to creativity, innovation, and holistic education
