Role Overview: Middle School English Teacher
The Middle School English Teacher will deliver engaging and rigorous English language and literature instruction. You will cultivate literacy skills, encourage inquiry, and support students in developing strong communication and analytical abilities. This role involves close collaboration with colleagues on curriculum planning and co-curricular initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach English lessons aligned with international and bilingual standards
- Create a classroom environment that supports inquiry, dialogue, and student voice
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and track student growth
- Integrate digital tools to enhance literacy and engagement
- Participate in school events, staff development, and curriculum review
- Foster meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally in an international or bilingual setting
- Familiarity with international or bilingual curricula (e.g., IPC, IB, or Cambridge)
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, reflective, and collaborative in approach
