Role Overview
The Middle School Mathematics Teacher will guide students in mastering essential math concepts, problem-solving strategies, and logical reasoning. The teacher will create engaging lessons that build confidence and prepare students for success in advanced mathematics courses and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to middle school students in alignment with ASIJ’s curriculum
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages inquiry and collaboration
- Develop innovative lesson plans that integrate technology and real-world applications
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that supports growth
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and alignment
- Contribute to school life through participation in co-curricular activities and events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably in international schools
- Familiarity with American or international curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and innovation in teaching
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
