Role Overview
The Middle School Mathematics Teacher will design and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The teacher will inspire students to develop critical thinking skills and a love for mathematics while meeting the diverse learning needs of middle school learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement interactive and inquiry-based mathematics lessons
- Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities
- Assess student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning in mathematics
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and the broader school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in middle school math
- Familiarity with international curricula such as the IB MYP
- Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts and pedagogy
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning
- Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse, international school community
