Role Overview
The Middle School PE Teacher will design and deliver dynamic physical education lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits. The role includes teaching a variety of sports and activities, managing inter-school events, and encouraging students to develop confidence, discipline, and respect through physical education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging middle school PE lessons aligned with school standards
- Introduce students to a range of sports, fitness activities, and health concepts
- Organize and coach extracurricular sports teams and events
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Promote teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship in all activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to support holistic student development
- Contribute to the broader school community through clubs and activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least three years of PE teaching experience, ideally in an international school setting
- Strong knowledge of physical education pedagogy and sports instruction
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional growth, innovation, and student success
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse international school community
