This school is based in Tokyo, Japan and is looking for a Middle School Japanese Teacher
Our school features a unique, rich international curriculum based on U.S. Common Core standards. Classes are taught in English with project based approaches focused on developing critical and creative thinking. Every student studies Japanese everyday and we have classes to accommodate all levels of Japanese proficiency. QUALIFICATIONS
● 4-year university degree
● Minimum of three years full-time teaching position
● Current teacher registration
● Certification and/or experience in teaching Japanese language as well as second language learners
● Familiarity with the Monbukagaku-sho curriculum. Appropriate child protection certification or evidence of clearance
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL…
● have experience with and comfortably report with the Monbukagaku-sho curriculum, in the Middle School years in particular
● be comfortable working in a team, and be able to collaborate with both fellow Japanese and other subject area teachers
● participate in data protocols, and use templates and tools to organize data
