Part-Time German Teacher, Ekamai International School, Thailand

This school is based in Bangkok, Thailand and is looking for a Part-Time German Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time German Teacher to instruct a High School Thai students in the German language. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both German and Thai cultures, as well as effective teaching methods tailored to Thai learners. This position offers the opportunity to engage with students of various ages and backgrounds in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and culturally relevant German language lessons specifically designed for Thai students, considering their linguistic backgrounds and learning styles.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where Thai students feel motivated and empowered to communicate in German.
• Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, including multimedia resources, interactive activities, and real-life scenarios, to enhance language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, tests, and other assessment tools, and provide constructive feedback to support their language learning journey.
• Maintain open communication with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding class schedules, curriculum updates, and student progress.
• Integrate Thai cultural elements into language instruction to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
• Stay abreast of developments in language teaching methodologies, instructional technologies, and cultural resources relevant to teaching German to Thai students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in German language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Native or near-native proficiency in German language (C2 level or equivalent).
• Previous experience teaching German language to Thai students preferred.
• Familiarity with Thai culture, customs, and educational practices.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of Thai students.
• Enthusiasm for language teaching and a passion for fostering cross-cultural exchange and
  understanding.
