Role Overview

The MS/HS Social Studies Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to analyze history, politics, culture, and society with a global perspective. The role requires integrating technology into teaching, supporting critical thinking, and fostering skills that prepare students for higher education and responsible global citizenship.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Middle and High School Social Studies across a range of topics
• Develop dynamic and inquiry-based lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Integrate real-world examples to enhance learning outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-disciplinary projects
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress
• Encourage participation in extracurricular activities and global issues discussions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, History, Political Science, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least three years of teaching experience, preferably in international schools
• Strong knowledge of social studies content and international curricula
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Ability to integrate technology into lessons effectively
• Passion for working in a diverse international school environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaborative teaching
