Role Overview

The MS/HS Visual Arts Teacher will design and deliver a comprehensive visual arts program that spans multiple mediums, including drawing, painting, digital art, and sculpture. This role requires guiding students in developing their technical skills, creativity, and critical understanding of art history and contemporary practices. Teachers are also expected to contribute to extracurricular art projects, exhibitions, and school-wide cultural events.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach engaging visual arts courses aligned with international standards
• Encourage creativity, experimentation, and personal expression in student work
• Introduce students to art history, global art movements, and contemporary practices
• Organize art shows, exhibitions, and displays within the school community
• Use technology and digital tools to enhance art instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and initiatives
• Support student growth through mentoring and extracurricular activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least three years of teaching experience, ideally in an international or secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Familiarity with international curricula and art education standards
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse international school environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and creative innovation in the classroom
