Role Overview: Music Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE)
As a Cambridge IGCSE Music Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging music lessons that develop performance, composition, and critical listening skills. You will lead classroom and extracurricular activities that promote musical expression and appreciation. Collaboration with fellow teachers and active participation in school-wide events will form an essential part of the role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or a related discipline
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with Cambridge IGCSE Music
- Deep understanding of music theory, performance, and pedagogy
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Self-motivated, independent, and committed to student-centered learning
- Comfortable integrating technology into music education
- Able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
