Role: Music Teacher
As a Music Teacher at BBSG, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ musical skills, appreciation, and performance abilities. You will work with learners from different cultural backgrounds and guide them in vocal, instrumental, and theoretical music studies. The role also involves organizing performances, fostering ensemble participation, and collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach music across key stages following the school’s bilingual and international curricula
- Inspire students through dynamic, hands-on lessons in theory, composition, and performance
- Lead choirs, orchestras, and musical ensembles for school events and productions
- Plan and assess student progress with clear, constructive feedback
- Foster a love for music while building skills in rhythm, harmony, and creative expression
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives
- Participate actively in co-curricular and community activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with international and bilingual education systems
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to innovation, inclusion, and continuous professional development
