Role: Music Teacher
As a Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students’ musical abilities, creativity, and appreciation for music. You will design and deliver engaging lessons that cover music theory, performance, composition, and listening skills, tailored to the Cambridge curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Music across Key Stages 2 to 4 (Years 3–11)
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that foster creativity and musical expression
- Prepare students for internal and external music assessments
- Organize and lead music-related events, such as performances and concerts
- Promote student participation in co-curricular music clubs and activities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on interdisciplinary projects
- Use digital tools and audio technology to enhance music instruction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or Music Education
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is an advantage
- Strong instrumental and vocal skills
- Excellent communication and classroom management abilities
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Passion for music and commitment to student-centered learning
