Role Overview: Music Teacher
The Music Teacher will lead engaging lessons that support student growth in music theory, vocal and instrumental performance, composition, and appreciation. The role also includes organizing performances, developing school music programs, and integrating music into the broader curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach music across elementary or secondary grade levels
- Develop lessons aligned with US or AP music curriculum standards
- Lead choir, band, or ensemble groups and prepare students for performances
- Encourage students to express themselves creatively through music
- Use modern music technology to enhance instruction
- Collaborate with faculty to support cross-curricular initiatives
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or Music Education
- Valid teaching license or recognized certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in music education
- Proficiency in at least one instrument and music technology
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
