This school is based in Rolle, Switzerland and is looking for a Technology Coach.

Institut Le Rosey is a dual-language (English and French) co-educational boarding IB World School for over 400 pupils, featuring a unique two-campus system. Our mission is to develop technology skills and enthusiasm among students through innovative and dynamic instruction.

About the Role:

The Technology Coach will provide high-quality, dynamic instruction and coaching to students, enhancing their technical skills through practical, investigative, and theoretical methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess profound knowledge in the subject area, sparking student interest and creativity in both hands-on and academic aspects of technology education.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate technology-related activities, lessons, and projects for students aged 8 to 18.
  • Lead and coach students in technology-related competitions such as VEX Robotics and CAD.
  • Hold office hours to assist students and teachers with technology projects.
  • Manage lab and equipment organization, inventory, preparation for projects, report writing, internal grading, and equipment packing during campus transitions.
  • Develop and coordinate innovative cross-curricular projects throughout the year.
  • Master and teach Design Thinking principles, fostering analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
  • Prepare and organize the school’s Makerspace and promote a Maker’s mindset among staff and students.
  • Liaise with industry and academic professionals to build a network supporting the school’s technology education goals.
  • Demonstrate an innovative, forward-thinking mindset, open to testing new ideas and embracing mistakes as learning opportunities.


  • Minimum of 3 years of technology teaching/coaching experience.
  • Proficient in leading hands-on tech competitions and STEAM projects.
  • Confident in using CAD programs such as Tinkercad and Fusion 360.
  • Familiar with a wide range of school technology equipment (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC mills, Arduinos, VR/AR, educational robotics like LEGO Mindstorms and VEX).
  • Knowledge of common programming languages (e.g., Python) and the O365 suite.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • Ability to design and deliver age-appropriate tasks that challenge and engage students.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Teaching qualification and a degree in Design & Technology are desirable.
  • Engineering background is a plus.
