MYP Design Teacher, Harare International School, Zimbabwe Teacher

This school is based in Harare, Zimbabwe and is looking for a MYP Design Teacher

HIS is a leading school in Africa and is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Middle States Association (MSA). In addition it is an IB World School offering IB, PYP, MYP and DP programs.

Job overview:
A full – time teaching position in the Design Department. Teachers have 5 classes and 3 preparation blocks as well as other expectations as per contract. HIS is an IB world school, and all curriculum and teaching is aligned accordingly.

Teaching Responsibilities:
● MYP Design
● Collaboration with the Innovation Center and Design team
● Collaboration with the STEAM program/coach
● Collaboration with the MYP Personal Project Coordinator in support of MYP & Personal Project Program

Job Requirements:
Essential
● Alignment with the HIS Mission
● Minimum three years relevant experience and knowledge of best practices in the content area.
● Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Masters degree preferred).
● Teaching Certification in the content area for the position.
● Police clearance from your previous and home country.
● Safer Recruitment Review.

Preferred
● International teaching experience is a plus
● IB PYP, MYP or DP experience as applicable to role
● knowledge of best practices, differentiation and student engagement practices
