Role Overview: MYP/DP Biology Teacher
As the IB Biology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and rigorous biology instruction to students in both the MYP and DP programs. You will create inquiry-driven lessons, design lab activities aligned with IB assessment criteria, and support students in developing scientific literacy and practical skills. Collaboration with the science department and interdisciplinary planning will be essential to drive innovation and consistency in the curriculum.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a closely related field
- Valid teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in MYP or DP Biology
- Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and instructional design skills
- Demonstrated ability to inspire a passion for science in students
- High level of English proficiency in both spoken and written communication
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Proactive, organized, and committed to continuous professional development
- Comfortable using technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
