Role Overview
The MYP/DP English Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the International Baccalaureate framework. The successful candidate will guide students in developing strong analytical, creative, and communication skills while preparing them for MYP assessments and IB Diploma Programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English across the MYP and DP levels
- Develop engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners
- Foster strong reading, writing, and critical analysis skills
- Provide timely assessment and constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in international schools
- Familiarity with IB MYP and DP English curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse international school community
