Role Overview: MYP English Teacher

As an MYP English Teacher, you will guide students in developing their communication skills, critical thinking, and appreciation for language and literature. You will collaborate with a team of educators to plan interdisciplinary units and implement the IB MYP framework in engaging and student-centered ways.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver MYP English lessons that promote analysis, creativity, and global awareness
• Develop assessments aligned with IB MYP objectives to measure learning and growth
• Integrate literature, writing, and media into inquiry-based instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues to create transdisciplinary learning opportunities
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain strong communication with families
• Contribute to curriculum planning, school events, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or recognized certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school
• Deep understanding of English language instruction and the IB MYP framework
• Excellent classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, cross-cultural educational setting
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Strong technological literacy to support and enhance student learning
