Role Overview
The MYP Health/PE Teacher will teach physical education and health courses aligned with the IB MYP curriculum. This role involves designing lessons that encourage physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and a balanced approach to well-being. The teacher will serve as both an instructor and mentor, helping students develop lifelong healthy habits while supporting their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Health/PE lessons aligned with IB MYP standards
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and holistic wellness
- Use diverse teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create a safe and supportive classroom and gym environment
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and activities
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular athletics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting
- Strong knowledge of Health/PE pedagogy and IB MYP framework
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for teaching in a multicultural environment
- Commitment to professional growth and curriculum innovation
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
